The Master of Science (MS) in Real Estate program focuses on real estate concepts and practices, while incorporating courses in marketing, law, public policy, geography and economics.
The MS in Real Estate program curriculum includes a wide range of courses that incorporate casework and teamwork — developing your communication and leadership skills. Through the course work, you will develop detailed knowledge and skills in:
- Investment strategies and techniques
- Public policy
- Real estate analysis
- Real estate valuation
- Urban planning and development
- Mentoring and Extracurricular Opportunities
Through the MS in Real estate program, you will be paired with a senior real estate executive in Chicago whom you will meet with monthly. This relationship will allow you to obtain an inside look at various aspects of the real estate industry from a seasoned professional.
You will also be encouraged to complete an internship and take part in activities and seminars outside of the classroom, such as the Real Estate Center’s continuing education courses and events.
The MS in Real Estate program is designed for students with a bachelor’s degree, or students who have earned or are earning an MBA.
