Q: Which classes are offered online?
A: The list of classes offered online varies each quarter. Search for online classes on Campus Connection http://campusconnect.depaul.edu
In addition, our School of Accountancy offers CPA Review courses online.
Q: How do I register for an online course?
A: You can register for courses on Campus Connection by visiting http://campusconnect.depaul.edu
Q: How much time do online courses require?
A: Online courses take at least the same amount of time as face-to-face classes, if not more. The convenience of being able to choose when you spend those hours is the best part, but time is still a factor! The best way to take an online course is to log on several times a week.
Q: How are online courses taught?
A: Most online courses are taught in an asynchronous fashion. Asynchronous means you will not have to be online at a specific time. You can progress through weekly content at your own pace. However, there will be weekly deadlines and assignments to complete.
Q: How do I log in to Desire2Learn (D2L)?
A: You log in to D2L at http://courses.depaul.edu
Use the same username and password you use to access Campus Connection.
Q: How do I get my Campus Connection ID and password?
A: Campus Connection log-in information is included in your acceptance packet provided by the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. If you lose the information, you are required to go to ID Services (Loop/Lincoln Park Campus) in-person to retrieve it.
Q: Where can I find my username and password for my D2L and e-mail (Webmail) accounts?
A: As soon as you were admitted to DePaul, you were issued a DePaul e-mail account. This is an important e-mail account because all of the messages from your classes will come to this account as well as messages from DePaul. You can use this account just as you would use your other personal e-mail accounts. You will also be able to keep the account after you graduate from DePaul. You will use your DePaul e-mail username and password to log in to D2L to access your classes.
Q: I forgot my Campus Connection password, what should I do?
A: If you forget your Campus Connection password, please go to the Campus Connection Website and click the link "Forgot your password?" or go to ID Card services for further help, or contact the TCC (Technology Contact Center) at +1 312-362-8765.
Q: Why don't I see my courses listed in D2L?
A: You will see you course in D2L within 24 hours of registering if your professor has activated your course. If it has been more than 24 hours since you registered, and you think that your professor has made the course available, then you should
contact the Technology Support Center at 312-362-8765.
Q: Where do I get my textbooks?
A: Textbooks for courses are available at the DePaul Bookstore. Or you can order online at http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/depaul.htm
Q: Can online students work on group projects?
A: Yes, your syllabus or professor will clarify.
Q: How do we handle exams?
A: Check your course syllabus for exam dates and instructions.
Q: Can I choose the campus where I will take my exams?
A: The time and location of your exam will be provided to you prior to the exam date. However, if you have a legitimate conflict that prevents you from taking the exam at the scheduled time, it may be possible to arrange a make-up exam. With instructor permission and adequate notice, it may also be possible to arrange to take your exam at one of DePaul's suburban campuses, but these arrangements will be made on a case-by-case basis. Please see your syllabus for your instructor's policy on make-up exams.
Q: I can't travel to Chicago for exams. What are my options?
A: If you are a remote student, you will need to arrange for a proctor at a local college or university. You are responsible for making these arrangements in advance of your exam. You are also responsible for any fees charged by the proctor.
Q: How will I turn in my homework?
A: Ask your instructor and/or check the syllabus. Most homework can be submitted through D2L. However, your instructor may prefer that you e-mail or fax your homework instead.
Q: Is it possible to complete the MBA degree completely online?
