For the second year in a row, DePaul University’s Master of Science in Taxation (MST) program has been ranked the No. 1 tax program in the nation based on a survey of corporate tax firms and MST program alumni conducted by JobsInTax., part of TaxTalent, the largest online network of tax professionals, based the graduate program rankings on survey responses from heads of corporate tax departments and alumni of MST programs nationally. Golden Gate University's program tied with DePaul's for the No. 1 spot.
The survey provides a valuable index of which accounting schools are consistently held in high regard by both alumni and those who hire tax professionals. The 2013 survey, released in August, also projects a 19 percent increase in hiring in the field, primarily due to company growth.
“It is an honor to be among such prestigious institutions chosen for this ranking,” says Kevin Stevens, director of the School of Accountancy. “The recognition speaks to the quality of students that graduate from our program as well as the program itself.” In a previous survey focusing on undergraduate programs, JobsInTax rated DePaul’s undergraduate accountancy program in the top 20 by JobsInTax.
